2.Edges_Goal 3: Preliminary Placement Absolute Centers As Needed

Updated: Dec 14, 2020

With your Yellow and White Edges complete, Rotate your Cube so that your White side is face down, and Yellow is up.

Now is a good Time to check the status of the Absolute Center, if your Cube has a visible one. Even numbered Cubes (4x4x4, VOID, etc.) have invisible centers which we will handle later as needed.

The same Formula that worked on the Corners to bring your Active Color up to the Top face, will reposition the Absolute Center piece when applied to the Center Row and Column, as pictured.

DEMONSTRATION:

SETUP:

While keeping the Yellow side up and the White side down, rotate your cube so that the Yellow Absolute Center piece in on the front side of the Cube facing you. (If you cannot because the Yellow Center is on the White side, do Formula A using the Center Row and Center Column, and begin this paragraph again.

PLACEMENT:

Do Formula A using the Center Row and Center Column.

Now take a moment and rotate the Center Row so that the Absolute Center lines up with the Corner colors on all for sides as well. This will eliminate the need for a Parity fix later on.
